Re: Eviction
First off, I agree that you need to take the responsibility for having yet another child as a VERY low income woman. Secondly, should someone with metal health issues even be having children? I would think your mental health would be the priority here, not stressing yourself out with kids.

If She or someone who knows her should pass on this website, maybe they could help her.

Poor me victim culture at its finest.
If she was a smart women and truly cares for this child and wanted the best life for it she should give it up for adoption.

Re: Eviction
I'm taking another stance on this.
Why is this a poor me story ?
The media is pushing the story : "How can the Native Housing Society evict this woman ?"
When the story should be : "What is wrong with this woman, with mental health problems, living in low incoming housing having a third child ?"
Add to that, I'm sure she was advised of the rules before she moved in.
Trying to manufacture a sob story, much ???

Re: Eviction
“persons with disabilities, due to mental health conditions” tells me she ain't the average person with mental health conditions treated or not who manages to have a job or a regular existence (otherwise why mention it)- she's pulling a government disability cheque.
It's the owners right to follow the rules they set in accordance to the tenancy act, and the media shouldn't attempt to shame them.
Can't take responsibility for herself now needs to for three.
If you can't qualify to adopt a child why are people allowed to procreate?

Re: Eviction
This is where the argument for sterilization comes into play. What kind of lives will these children end up living?

Re: Eviction
What’s interesting is that the government evades the residential tenancy rules.....imagine if a normal landlord tried evicting for this reason? It would be a top story on the news.
And, it would not be allowed.

Rules are rules. Bylaws are bylaws.
