Heard many horror stories about the developer. Perhaps Graham should take a good long hard look in the mirror, and be accountable for his lack of educated decision making. Stop blaming everybody else for your incompetence!

Every new development is charged development cost charges by the City. But it is never enough to cover all the added expense of the addition to the city in the form of larger road capacity, increased sewage treatment due to the new subdivision, making the water treatment plant larger, and so on. Developers, especially with housing prices today, make a fortune, and it's only fair the city increases its demands for a piece of the massive profits. Or the current taxpayers can foot the bill for the increasing size of the city.

hard to take a post seriously when a poster refuses to supply examples of what their posting is true or not
just a couple examples would suffice in this matter?

in reality that's not true; The development fees and permits etc these days are more than adequate the new home owners become tax payers and will in effect pay increasing the size of the city that is how the system is designed and operated
the sewer charges they pay per household is also used for increased capacity

I did a extensive search and also talked to a well known Vernon contractor
about the outfit building this development and could find nothing negative at all

read the news report today the city wants them to pay for the property before they will commit to
a time frame in regards to permits etc
Based On the little bit I know about the city of Vernon from past dealings unless I had a firm contractual commitment in hand outlining the whole city process I would not purchase the property either
These guys buy the property and spend millions getting it ready and the city delays permits etc can cause
a lot of problems for the developers for sure and cost some big $$$$$$
