Compared to 40 years earlier the population also has increased and also the cost of living but the concept remains the same. with increase in population development comesFancy wrote:When people have lived there for 40 years plus I wouldn't expect them to be prepared for what's happening now.nicholas p wrote:The persons who bought property bottom of the slope has to be prepared to rock slide, water damage etc as more developments happens on the top of the slope let it be wine yard or condo or houses.

This has nothing to do with in increase in population. These are vineyards going in above and below Bella Vista - no increase in population.nicholas p wrote:Compared to 40 years earlier the population also has increased and also the cost of living but the concept remains the same. with increase in population development comes
Truths can be backed up by facts - do you have any?

Yeah, I agree vineyards coming but why as the consumption increased and also it gets employment which is need of the hour.Fancy wrote:This has nothing to do with in increase in population. This sounds like buying a lake side property 40 years ago and telling that the lake is flooding our home now which didn't happen for last 40 years.Fancy wrote:This has nothing to do with in increase in population. No it doesn't. Flooding of certain properties a couple of years ago never happened in over 50 years and there would be no expectation of that happening. Frind is changing the scope of the mountainside and the owners have real concerns - it is NOT normal runoff.

I agree that until now their was not soo much run off but when vegetation or trees or grass is removed for development let it be building houses or vineyard the bare loose ground starts eroding which is natural concept and buildings are built run off will be changed for ever but when plants or trees are grown like vineyards once the plants grow, the roots of plants stop the loose mud from eroding & enables ground to absorb the water. It may be temporary flooding for some time until the plants grow once done the water runoff will be less than earlierFancy wrote:No it doesn't.
