These's a big flare up on the southwest flank but it's difficult to see due to the smoke in front.

Quailize, I'm wondering how you are qualified to say rank 5 or 6? I did not know that this could be assessed by webcams. You may be right but I'm wondering how you can tell?
I have learned that to be with those I like is enough.

The color and density of the smoke gives it away pretty easily. Rank 5-6 smoke looks like a volcanic eruption.

Actually according to this http://bcwildfire.ca/FightingWildfire/firerank.htm shouldn't the smoke be darker to considered rank 5/6?

Re: Cisco Road Wildfire (near Lytton)
When the smoke is first produced it's very dark in color but turns to a dense grey / white / orange color as it travels into the air. Keep in mind the sun was also setting when the picture was taken and it makes the smoke look brighter. If you were on the opposite side of the smoke colum it would be very dark.
Below is a picture of the 2003 park fire on August 16th, it was rank 5-6 when this was taken.

Been 24 days since it started and it's still showing aggressive fire behavior.

There's a flare up on this one again, it has been nearly 2 months since it started.
