Winds picked up around 8pm last eve here in Vernon, tree's on our property looked like they were laying side ways. Rainfall made the gutters look like waterfalls. Amazing thunder & lightning display, then hail. Didn't last long, maybe 10 minutes or so.

We did get a lot of rain yesterday (and this was before the big storms hit in the evening)...

Same thing as yesterday. Storms forming in the west & moving east. They'll start popping up in the next hour or so.

The rain did ruin a $50 book last night. I had the window open when it hit, and it hit sideways. By the time I got upstairs to close the window, the open book was soaked.

A storm forming near the Brenda Mines might roll into the valley. Probably going to dissipate first though.

To woodenhead ...

You have a front row seat in watching what will be Kamloops Prairie a few thousand years from now. Erosion by the elements.

In Kelowna we are still sitting outside keeping a "watch out" but our hats are still dry. Not being able to see for the blazing sun inhibiting our ability to see the thunderstorms for the last few days.

I thought I heard thunder the other night but it turned out to be Fireworks for Canada Day
