There is a thunder storm passing over the area right now and hopefully accompanied by a good rain with it. Here is the active lightning map: http://www.lightningmaps.org/realtime

CBC radio just reported that one of the men that helped evacuate the people from the campground didn't have time to return home to grab anything for himself.

CBC radio has also confirmed the fire is at 2000 Hectares.

has it been said which direction the fire has taken overnight? If it is now 2000 hectares (which I could not confirm anywhere online) the devastation for those with homes and livestock will be unbearable. My heart is with every one of them....

I didn't see 2000, but I just checked on the BC Wildfire website and it said 800 hectares... no info. found on direction yet.

The will rain put this one to sleep. A big thunderstorm soaked the area this morning and there's plenty more in the forecast.
