-wind is blowing downhill now
-firefighters are taking this seriously
Of course they are taking it seriously, never said they weren't. It's moving east right now, not north.

The fire is “spotting ahead of itself,” Klassen added. She explained that means embers are jumping ahead of the fire and sparking new flames.

It's in a very remote location, I don't think they're really concerned about it. If it tries to move towards kelowna the 2003 burn area will stop it.
you posted this ^. I think they're very concerned.

I'm guessing they are concerned about it and that's why they are taking it seriously. We know what's happened in the past and what's been happening now. Winds can create havoc and changes can happen in the blink of an eye.

I can see flames now with my binoculars, it's moving over the ridge.

The police must have been on the lake, because I could see numerous boat book it towards the bridge (north). I have a clear view of the lake and Little White here in Casa Loma, and have been banging my head against the wall watching some of the boaters treating this like it is an attraction, and that after four days of stagnant wind TODAY we get wind...blew the smoke out of the valley to a good degree however it is fuelling the fire!
I am so thankful for the whole of the firefighting teams we have.
Can you really see flames!?

GSC What lake were you at? Are there any alternative routes out? I know some of the lakes up there that do. Stay safe.

We need some of the webcams bumped to the left a bit to see this fire.

With all the traffic cams, one would think it would be possible.
