But will there be justice?
I seriously doubt it. :-X
Why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.

I predict that restoration of funds and a fine will be part of her sentence. That and, little justice as it is, her reputation as a professional will be ruined now that she has been charged.

This outcome should have happened in two months not two years. Everyone came to realize the true facts very quickly. Insted, 5 times the money that was misappropriated was spent investigating. That is how :cuss: our justice system is.

Now we get to watch as even more tax dollars are burned up in a trial, court appearances, lawyers etc...

When people betray public trust the cost of their crimes goes far beyond the amount they directly stole.

We ALL pay and pay and pay for these types of crimes.
I believe that is why the sentencing/punishment needs to be very harsh in these instances.

If found guilty, the accused in these types of crimes, should not only be responsible for compensating the people they have directly wronged but they should be required to reimburse the tax payers for the cost of forensic investigators, RCMP and the judicial system that is required to exact justice.

If it takes them the rest of their lives to pay back THAT would be a deterrent.
Much more effective than throwing them in jail and costing the tax payers even further.

Just a thought...

Noticed on the BC Court Services website that she appeared in court on Friday.
Looks like she must've plead not guilty.
Strange none of the media outlets reported this.

This is what the code ELE stands for:
ELE - Accused will elect mode of trial - Used when a case is adjourned so that the accused may elect their mode of trial when Crown is proceeding by Indictment.

I guess this is going to drag out for a while and cost us all even more money.
She's probably going to get off because they spelled her name wrong....

Nope. Incorrect name spelling is not grounds for dismissal if it can be determined the correct person is in custody.
