Short Term rentals to medical residents

I have heard about the possibility of renting out a room and bathroom to medical residents over a short term. How much of a hassle is this in terms of dealing with the city of Penticton?

I am, by no means, an expert on this, but it shouldn't be a hassle at all. You're not renting out your house to them, only a room. There's lots of people who rent rooms to college students, temporary workers etc. My sister has been doing it for years in Kelowna. You should report the income to CRA, but as long as you live in the house and are just renting a room, I can't see it being a problem. It's sort of like having a roommate that pays part of your rent/mortgage and chips in for food.
