UPDATE: 2:35 p.m.

A small wildfire is burning above Oyama.

The fire, which is believed to be caused by lightning, was reported Saturday morning to the BC Wildfire Service.
There are no helicopters working the fire.

Fire information officer Ryan Turcot said the blaze is currently about 1.5 hectares. It's burning three kilometres above Oyama on the other side of Highway 97.

There are seven firefighters on site working to contain and mop up the blaze, he said.

"The fire is producing a lot of smoke and is highly visible, but no property or values are at risk at this time," he said.

The high for Fort St. John today is 1C. Yes, 1C. It's snowing / raining there right now, it'll help a lot with fighting the fires in the area.

"Alberta thing"?

If the world ended today at 1:00 PM BC time, that would be 2:00 PM Alberta time. AND they say there is NO intelligent life East of the Rockies......

I see it is snowing in and around Ft. Mac today. I guess that's what you have to live with to live longer.....?

Yep. It's based on Alberta being cattle country.

One cow in one pasture and one cow in another pasture = 2 head of cattle.

Same thing with temperature
