Convair's
Looks like Penticton Fire Base will be having 2 Convair's from Conair at the base this year. They landed a while ago. Last year there were 4 Air Tractors and this year 2 Convair's. More capacity, less refills and faster to the fire.

Why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.

Prior to last year a Air Spray Electra was based in Penticton.

Yes but the air tractors are more maneuverable and can fly over more treacherous terrain then the Convairs.JagXKR wrote:Looks like Penticton Fire Base will be having 2 Convair's from Conair at the base this year. I sure love those Convair's though - was at KF for all the conversions.

Go ahead, call me virtually resistant to change. I'm still flying an Air Spray Electra out of Penticton.Prior to last year a Air Spray Electra was based in Penticton.

Seems the base has a new resident. An RJ85 (former BA-46?) that will compliment the 2 Convairs.
