New fire

Post by JagXKR »

Something is burning to the NW of Penticton. The 2 Convairs and the 1 RJ-85 went out to it and are now back but I can see the smoke coming towards town due to the very very strong N wind. I now can smell it.
Why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.

I saw the smoke to the west while driving home about an hour ago. Wasn't sure if it was just drift smoke from somewhere else or not, but it was quite visible.

There's a 6 hectare fire west of summerland according to bcwildfire's interactive map. That's possibly where the smoke is coming from?

Note the word person. We have had a very mild, smoke free valley so far this year.
Looks like they got good drops on the fire as there is little to no smoke from where I saw it last night.
