Your join date is 2016 yet you're intimately familiar with 2013 election threads? That's interesting. As an aside, it's against the Castanet forum rules to have multiple IDs. I've been here for a few elections now, and I don't recall any sexist remarks from anyone against Dix. I recall lots saying he was/is an idiot, but that's not sexist. It's a simple statement of fact.

People don't have to be a member of a site to read publicly available material so I don't know what your point is other than to bait me.

There's an an entire archived section here with tons of threads about Dix. Anyone interested in seeing all the sexist comments can go there and read. If you think he was just called dumb, you're way off base. He was constantly called ugly and a number of other things.

I rode in on a truck, but it wasn't the turnip truck. No one is looking through 4 year old archives on Castanet for sexist comments on Adrian Dix.

And, if that's not obviously denying the obvious, how about NDP MLA George Heyman? #leap

So...what would you say is the Liberals manifesto...

Steal from the poor and give to the rich?

Pretty well summarizes it for me.

Nobody can deny the obvious better than a BC Liberal digital influencer, of which there are several on this thread.
And speaking of digital influencers, I left here 8 hours ago and thought that I would have a rebuttal from Urbane on my last post at around 2 p.m. I guess he/she wasn't able to provide one.

1. Disgusting behaviour results in harsh criticism. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it.
You should stick to criticism of governing and distance yourself from the sexist attacks.

2. But why do you suppose that was? It sure as heck wasn't because of the reason you suggest.
LOL. Yes, 77-2 but it had nothing to do with the voters being unhappy with the NDP.

3. Whatever. I'm not concerned about something a politician said 20 years ago.
You should be. It has relevance today. Bury your head in the sand if you like.

$. If he truly said that, yes, I agree he should be more careful about how he words things.
Yes, it must have been an actor playing the part of John Horgan.

6. It's how they balance the budget that annoys me. Bringing Crown corporations (OUR corporations) to the brink of bankruptcy is a truly incompetent way to run a province.
Yes, I have a problem with the government taking borrowed money from ICBC.

7. A clinic that went to Kelowna instead of Kamloops? That's the best you can do? And you shouldn't be bringing up that BC Liberal bridge fiasco. If the NDP had been around long enough to build it, it would have been built in the proper place to begin with. The inept BC Libs instead dismantled a perfectly good floating bridge that should have been maintained and twinned, and proceeded to build another bridge in the same place (with only 5 lanes, BTW). Then, just a couple of years later they decided, 'uh-oh, we made a boo-boo. Let's build another one where we should have built the last one'. Christy brought that up in her 2013 campaign, then simply forgot about it until 4 years later. Now it's part of her campaign again. Most Kelowna residents see her for the scam artist she is and, according to popular opinion, would like to see Kelowna bypassed altogether and have Westside Road become a freeway between Vernon and West Kelowna.
I gave you two examples and you're way off base on the subject of the bridge. It needed to be replaced and was not a "perfectly good floating bridge" anymore. Perhaps you just moved here and weren't following the story at the time. As far as bypassing Kelowna you do realize that 96% of the traffic going over the WR Bennett Bridge is Okanagan traffic and not heading anywhere else, right? So what you say about the freeway on the between Vernon and West Kelowna makes no sense.

8. "I think that we should hold all of our politicians accountable for their actions."
At least we agree on something.
Not really. You won't even acknowledge that John Horgan said that he doesn't disagree with the bulk of the Leap Manifesto and that he would bring in his own Leap Manifesto. You say, "if he said that" even though he's on the video.

What the hell are you talking about? What I said about Sophie Gregoire? What??? Go ahead and dig up whatever you want. You are by far the biggest sexist here. No one else is even close. What you said about Ivanka Trump was disgusting.

as opposed to the NDP manifesto - make everyone poor and then brag about how you were so successful at bringing in "income equality". Churchill was right, socialism is about everyone suffering, equally.

I won't deny the truth. The NDP government of the 1990's was horribly corrupt.

LOL - of all of the NDP lies, this one has to take the cake. My word. Not one word of this sentence is true. Whoever told you this is someone you should never loan money to, as it isn't even remotely true.

Urbane, I'm going to stick with number 7 and leave the rest until I get back here later. I lived here when they built the original bridge, which wasn't all that long ago, as bridges go. The Lion's Gate, for example was built more than 75 years ago and it's still standing. Ditto the Patullo. The difference being that they have been maintained over the years, something that the Kelowna bridge was lacking for the past 1 1/2 decades, at least.

That part about 96% of Kelowna bridge traffic being local is pure bunk. I don't know where you read that, but I can certainly guess. When I travel over that bridge, I'm surrounded by transport trucks and motorhomes that sure as heck aren't 'local traffic'.

Why doesn't Westside Road make sense? Christy promised 4 years ago that there were going to be major improvements on that cow trail but very little has been done since. Someone should crunch the numbers, find out how much it's going to cost to build a new bridge and all the infrastructure that entails, and compare that to the cost of straightening and widening Westside Road.

The only people who are against building a highway that would by-pass Kelowna are the ones who could possibly have something to lose monetarily, such as a business owner on Harvey Avenue and vicinity.

Awesome finds there, g-fish!

So, NDP lovers, what sayest thou about your NDP MLAs' endorsement of the Leap Manifesto? Are you denying the obvious?

unbelievable that NDP MLA's would be crazy/stupid enough to put their love of the Leap Manifesto on social media. Also unbelievable that any NDP lovers here would now try and deny that the love for the Leap doesn't exist. It's right there, clear as day on social media, just like it's clear as day when it tumbled from the lips of John Horgan himself. Anyone in a union outside of government should be distancing themselves from the NDP as far as they can right now, as a vote for the NDP is essentially cutting your own throat if you are a union that wants its members actually working for the next 4 years. The Leap Manifesto is an economic death sentence.
