Fired healthworkers sister blames clark
The sister of fired health researcher Roderick MacIsaac says that five years, and millions of dollars later, “Christy Clark has learned absolutely nothing.”
Linda Kayfish grief was palpable as she began speaking to reporters Tuesday morning about last week’s report by Ombudsperson Jay Chalke on the Health Ministry firings.
The biggest surprise in Chalke’s report, Kayfish says, is the timing and inaction.
“As early as November 2012 an investigator found that rod had done nothing wrong. The Ministry chose not to contact him and instead delay and continue the scurrilous behaviour.”
Although Kayfish thinks it’s unlikely, she would like the Premier to sit down with her and the other researchers to explain what happened and apologize for her government.
“It is a sore wound, it’s going to take a long time. I no longer have much trust in the public services provided by this province.”
