Re: Making stuff up again .
Nobody ever said that Christy should've debated Linda, what's being said is that Christy should have shown Linda the common curtesy of letting Linda finish what she wanted to say before Christy wandered off. Every single BC citizen deserves the right to the Premiers ear when the Premier is out in public, not just the select few who bow to the Premier.Urbane wrote:Can you imagine if Christy Clark had stayed there and debated the woman??
It's never acceptable for anyone to ever speculate what someone might be doing or thinking, or about to say, and it's never acceptable, possibly even illegal, to take other people's words out of context to slander them. The highest civil servant in the province of all people should know better.Urbane wrote: She didn't quote Linda exactly but Linda's use of the word "never" kind of covers it, don't you think? Linda left little doubt that she would never vote for Clark or the Liberals.

^^ There's no need to speculate about anything when someone like Linda uses the word "never."

Linda looked at Christy and very clearly said to Christy "I WILL NEVER VOTE FOR YOU" at no point did Linda use the word liberal. Linda may be a Federal Liberal for all we know.Urbane wrote:^^ There's no need to speculate about anything when someone like Linda uses the word "never."

They bargained all of it for him, whether he likes it or not.
I am startled that a retired educator would so adamantly defend Christy Clark.

If I said to you, "Hurtlander, I would never vote NDP" I think you'd get the message that I would never, past, present, or future, vote NDP. On the other hand, if I said, "I will never vote NDP" it's a bit ambiguous re the past. You shouldn't have changed would to will but I will give you the benefit of the doubt that it was an honest mistake.Higgins told her: “I would never vote for you . . ."

Clark lacked any evidence of dignity or respect.
But go ahead, defend her some more, IF it makes you feel good.

It was bad enough when they falsely claimed the BC NDP hacked their website or when they falsely claimed the RCMP was investigating a team of health researchers or any other number of false claims they've been caught making up about the economy.
But now, after launching a "smear campaign" against an ordinary British Columbian voter, even some of the province's top journalists are calling out Christy Clark's BC Liberals for telling "cold lies" and "unleashing a conspiracy theory."
Richard Zussman, BC's provincial affairs reporter at CBC News, told Marissen he's "pushing lies," explaining that he personally interviewed Linda and could confirm "she was not a plant":

bclibs =smear campaign
ndp are com.itted to folks like linda and end bullying
