Post by 60-YEARS-in-Ktown »

Is anyone sandbagging?
Or anyone able to help?
Anyone have bags or pumps they are not using?
Just putting it out there in case someone is swamped with flood cleanup..
I'd like to help You OUT,
Which way did You come in??

Hey, does anyone else see the striking resemblance to an '03 season fire control line here?

Seen them bagging at old kss site . Back streets in that area are closed
Now they want to take our guns away . That would be just fine. Take em away from the criminals first . Ill gladly give u mine. "Charlie Daniels"

Could be an interesting spring - it's only the beginning of May. Traditionally the water doesn't really get flowing until early/mid June when the upper snow pack diminishes rapidly.

Support for those affected by flooding now open at Salvation Army on Sutherland.
Unfortunately local fire halls have apparently run out of sandbags.

Not surprising but doesn't seem to be reported much...we've got some flooding going on up here in Joe Rich too.

I spent all day yesterday helping sandbag and doing many other things in the Sutherland/Richter area. It's just ridiculous.

I truly feel bad,not being able to help out, got a cast on my foot, cant put weight on it nor get it wet.
So, I must say its the worst I have ever seen so that would be worst in about 50 years.
We lived near Mill Creek, and ut bisected my buddies yard, we spent a lot of time around the creek. My brother for a time lived on Burne Ave, and I remember a few floods there..
It looks like folks are trying to help out others..always a good thing.
If anyone wants to help, looks like they can check here and find where to go.
Hope it starts receding soon...going to be a lot of cleaning up.
I'd like to help You OUT,
Which way did You come in??

just saw a picture of rcmp members filling sandbags, now while I think this is great and appreciated I'm sure they could be better used elsewhere

Hope those that are sandbagging aren't just putting them willy nilly. Makes a difference how they are set in place. Can expect more backbreaking work in the immediate future.
