Tomorrow will not be a good day for fire control. Winds are expected to gust to 26 km/hr in the afternoon. In that area near Sheridan Lake they are usually stronger than the Lone Butte weather forecast.

Just got pictures and the fire is now burning right up to the south shore of Sheridan Lake. Lots of structures there that are only accessible by water.

They are in full attack mode along the West and North flank where there is good access. From what I see the fire will run to the East with any wind at all. Not much access on that East flank to the south of Sheridan. The red line on this photo is where the fire is in the above photo.

The fire got dumped on with rain pretty good today. Here's an older picture of the fire.

Yeah I called Sheridan Lake resort today and it had been raining stead for some time. More rain in the forecast for them tomorrow also.

The fire is now 100% contained. 191,865 hectares in size. That's 1918.65 sq. km.
