Smokanagan - again

Post by tsayta »

Smoke from the Princeton fire has filled our valley again. Gross. If you want to escape it, altitude is your friend. Check out the big white web cam. Pretty clear but you can see the smoke band

I stand corrected. Looking at castanet webcams, it appears just a narrow band of smoke affecting upper mission?

This is interesting. Check out the smoke plume. Looks like it goes all the way to northern Alberta

I hiked up to the top of Little White today - here's what the smoke looks like from there. This is looking north, towards Black Mountain.

Yep! I try to make at least one trek up there each summer. Was up to my knees in snow a couple of times today - not complaining, either, in this heat!

Another pic - panorama - where you can see the smokey haze, as well as the smoke plume from that condo fire.

Absolutely stunning. I can see what looks like last year's fire burn there. Looks like either greyback or big meadow Lake to the left. Even a little 'dipping hole' for a cool off

Boo. It was a stunning 1080p afternoon of clear smoke free skies. But alas, the smoke is moving in from princeton

I am so claiming a rebate on my sunshine tax this year.

I hate to break it to you, but there's no such thing as a sunshine tax.

Yea, just noticed walking outside, everything has that nice "orange/brown" glow to it.
