Regardless of who "wins" an election, they always are up against a Silent Elite. Do you believe the extreme poor who voted for Trump ever thought their non-profit support would be slashed right out from under them?

I heard that there are flames near the gravel pit on Glenmore Road. Is Glenmore Road closed? Has it reached Camp Road yet?

I read where Glenmore road is closed but can't find that report again.

Heavy wind gusts right now, just like it was all this afternoon. See 3 RCMP vehicles just arrived with lights flashing down on Okanagan Center Road West by the boat launch, probably going to evac the homes along the road which were just on a alert.

The Facebook page is reporting a grass fire at the landfill. We heard fire trucks go by about 30 min ago. I'd imagine Glenmore Road is closed to through traffic.
It's possible to do all the right things and still get a bad result.

Staying at a friend's, heard there is a fire near Glenmore landfill on his CB scanner. Uncomfortably close to here, and we already took in an evacuee from the Okanagan Centre fire.

Re: Landfill. Just drove up there. Cars pulled over watching. My guess is about 100M x 100M. Size of a football field wide but that is a far away perspective. Could see the lights of 3-4 vehicles up there on scene. It's on the hill in behind the old entrance

Yes, it has reached Camp road (or within 100 meters) in at least 1 spot. Doesn't look like has crossed the road yet tho.
Strong gusty winds at the moment. :panic:

2hrs ago, reportedly heading east quickly due to wind. Anyone living East of Chase Rd be ready to leave.

Driving to Oyama Rd area, I seen emergency lights that look to be on the winfield side of the ridge, but not exactly sure as I did not pull over.

Keep safe everyone

What end of Camp? Hope it doesn't get down as far as Seaton. We are so lucky to have our firemen and women in our own community.

Not much happening on Chase Road via scanner, they are still working knocking out hot spots along Nighthawk and Tyndal and Okanagan Center Road West.

80% contained. Glad to see our hard working firefighters make good progress.

Also, a big thanks to the volunteers at the Salvation Army. They helped my friend with food, clothing and toiletries.
