Base Empty
All the fixed wing aircraft based here in Penticton are gone. Last one left around 6pm. Sure was busy over there this year and the "airshows" on some days were fairly impressive. Now time for La Niña.

Guess they are back. Sort of. Different company and different plane. One Lockheed Electra is here now (from Castlegar I think) and has been here for a few days. Seems we are not out of the woods yet, as recent fires near Cawston have proved. Good thing we opened up the back country, who could have thought anything bad could happen with such a responsible public.

Awesome. Lots of wind for you. Gusting almost to 50kph here in Penticton.
BTW the Electra just got back after heading south somewhere. I'm guessing Cawston.

Was kidding about the fire, but we did see some sleet at higher elevations, getting wetter up there.

I thought so. Still doing the fireworks though, right? ;)
