What? There's still challenging fire there? I thought that rain they had over the weekend gave fire fighters the upper hand.

P.S. I liked this picture....

The Kleena Kleene fires are burning up into the alpine, even up to 7,000 ft.

Dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live everyday as if it were your last.

Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

I like this thread idea, thanks.

Red Dragon eggs green Dragon eggs - sounds nasty. I guess they use these to start the fires? :)

I first ran into them in 77 at BCIT. used to start fires. Partially filled with Potassium Permanganate and after the balls fall from a hopper to an injection stage ( Glycol) they are ejected to the ground and the chemical reaction gets hot enough for the polystyrene to burst into flame. The sphere is now a fuel source for a minute or two while the fuel nearby ignites.

A friend stayed behind to fight the fire himself. Good thing because he saved his buildings.
