New fire above Gormans

i just drove up to the overpass and its the same fire as yesterday. i did take a couple pics from the gelletly heritage park of the other side of the lake


these pics were about 4 o clock . it is quite a bit worse now

You have to be the altitude of mission hill . It seems like a dim glow perhaps because the smoke is interfering in the view at this point . But something is for sure going on up there. ..And yes a tiny sparkle starting to show .

Has there been any growth from this fire? I work downtown westbank and can't see 20 feet from the store but facing the opposite direction of it.

It seemed to calm down after midnight. I don't really see much from the area right now but it's hard to tell for sure with the smoke inversion in the valley.

I used to like the smell of wood smoke. That is, when it was coming from a fire I had created.

This? It makes me nervous. I think I suffer from some form of PTSD when I smell smoke anytime after mid May.

They seem to be attacking this quite hard right now. Lots of planes circling over my house in shannon lake. From my viewpoint I could only see smoke before but it has now crested the top of the hill from my point of view. Quite the show!
