That's funny, I've read articles about keeping your dogs inside so they don't look at the sun. I can see it... the eclipse is happening, dogs gather in the street, the pointers are pointing at the sun, the huskies are oohing and awing, later they are looking at the lab for results....
They say you can't believe everything they say.

It appears US voters hated Woke more than they hated Trump.

I just saw a gal on the news. She had a colander and just held it, looking at the ground you could see the eclipse. Well, bunches of them. I tried it, it works!

:130: excellent crowd down at the curling rink. People were sharing their glasses with people. Big telescopes had long line ups, and people were patiently waiting in line for their chance to look, even when it became sun spots to look at.

Saw people I hadn't seen for a while.

Lots of kids.

Got lots of pix. :D

ETA: We heard that the organizers were not prepared for so many people to want to be there, the line ups were killer, there were five telescopes and lots of people actually brought their own homemade devices to the party. Lots of cardboard boxes with tape in all different sizes. It was a fun atmosphere as people were sharing all over the place.
Regardless of who "wins" an election, they always are up against a Silent Elite. Do you believe the extreme poor who voted for Trump ever thought their non-profit support would be slashed right out from under them?

Yep on the ETA stuff you added. My family tried to check it out and didn't make it. Very cool though they made the pinhole through a paper thing and did it that way. Boss was kind enough to let us wander the streets for 20 min and watch.

Kind of felt like a sunday evening sunset at 1030am.
