If Peugeot is such a crappy brand why do they currently own the Pikes Peak hillclimb record?
ps://www.google.ca/search?q=pikes+peak+ ... e&ie=UTF-8
Unlimited 2013 Sébastien Loeb Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak 8:13.878

Peugeot also has won at Petit Lemans beating it's rival Audi
https://www.motorsport.com/alms/news/il ... -titans-2/
They also won 24 hr Lemans in France in 2009
Not bad for a piece foreign junk.

Then there is the World Rally championship:
https://www.autosport.com/wrc/news/1141 ... wrc-return
During its time in the World Rally Championship, Peugeot took 48 wins, five manufacturers' awards and four drivers' championships. The team left the WRC in 2005.

One of the most fun cars I have ever driven was a basic spec Peugeot 205. That car was primitive, but what it did, it did well and was a hoot at the same time. I have yet to find an American car as much fun to throw around on twisty roads, but or course, because it didn't "augment" one's masculinity by proxy, for some insecure people it is garbage.

I would be hard pressed to find a worse car manufacturer than Dodge, though Chevrolet have vied for that position too. I'd sooner buy and 80s Fiat than another Dodge.

I have a '91 Peugeot 405 Mi16. The 405 was European car of the year in 1988.
It develops 150 HP from a naturally aspirated 1.9 litre DOC 16 valve engine.
It has a magnesium valve cover made by Stihl.
It has never failed to start and loves to go fast. I've owned it for 20 years.
