Lets agree to disagree... GHG or Carbon Footprint what ever is the fashionable term is only as good as the marketing and those that choose to eat it up or drink the kool-aid. (ie Greta Toonies will always say EV's are greener that ICE's, but the research says no... when you include production and disposal of the entire vehicle is taken into account.)

As for Russia, I don't support most wars and I won't get into it, but to say "russia alone is to blame" is sorta naive.
Censorship may lead to lack of information and subsequent development of apathy, ignorance, conformism and general stagnation. It may threaten democracy and encourage subversive activities... but worse is invisible censorship - it's alive and well.

John Christy is right. The energy secretary is wrong in this short Interview with a climatologist. The energy secretary you could almost mistaken for Biden in the way she talks.

California's solar panel recycling problems are coming due. Consumers lack knowledge of their toxicity while only 1 in 10 panels are recycled.
The industry is supposed to be green,” Vanderhoof said. “But in reality, it’s all about the money.
That skews the economic incentives against recycling. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory estimated that it costs roughly $20 to $30 to recycle a panel versus $1 to $2 to send it to a landfill.

what that lil story leaves out is gas is worse than coal when it comes to ghg .
Good grief, this is why mankind is suffering so much - worrying about "ghg" (whatever that is) and making policy decisions that are going to directly lead to people dying from starvation and from freezing to death. Gas is not "worse than coal" and its nonsensical to even go there. Natural gas is a clean-burning fuel with almost zero particulates, so there is almost zero pollution from natural gas. It's amazing!
not to mention the answer to climate change isnt to accelerate it . :135:
Not to mention that man-made climate change (I think that's what you are referencing? Why don't you actually say that's what you are referring to? It's confusing) doesn't exist, so something that doesn't exist can't really be accelerated.
russia alone is to blame with what happens to global prices as russia had a choice not to commit war crimes in ukraine.
And Germany is alone to blame for their mass fear of nuclear energy. What boneheads. Solar and wind just plain suck. No one with a brain is still advocating for either of those two failed technologies for energy production.

Jennifer Granholm (energy secretary) is a complete idiot. She was governor of Michigan for awhile and did a terrible job, and so of course her reward in the Democrat model is to be promoted (see Harris, Kamala and Buttigieg, Pete). Americans are lucky though as this dumb-dumb was born in Canada, and so per their own Constitution (until a stacked US supreme court rules otherwise) she can't run for president, though I doubt too many people would vote for her anyway.

The infinite regret of voting for Biden will certainly help to see she does not get a repeat performance. I see she was born in Vancouver. Makes sense she is there because of Biden. The energy secretary also oversees the testing and development of nuclear weapons. I have a feeling she is not qualified, tho, that isn’t important any longer.

The air-quotes and messages about a 500 year flood in Montana just mean these things happened before the era of “man’s influence.” I would have hoped as a lawyer she’d be more intelligent for her position, but alas, being a lawyer is all one needs to be in politics. An energy secretary who doesn’t know the difference between voltage and current, knows nothing about climate or nuclear weapons, and probably know nothing about energy… so disillusioning.

I'm thinking Jennifer Granola has more credentials and accomplishments in her little pinky than the scandal ridden no nothing about energy dual of Rick the coal Perry and Dan who? Brouillette.

Oh Yawn.......the relationship between solar irradiance and global temperature has been debunked since the '60.

Enviro-scum attack and damage another pipeline, this time the Keystone pipeline, in South Dakota. All in the name of stupid fairy tales. What utter human scum these man-made climate change extremists are.
MEDIA STATEMENT - JULY 18, 2022
Keystone Pipeline System update

On July 17, 2022, we were made aware of a non-operational incident resulting from third-party damage to the power supply to a facility on the Keystone Pipeline System near Huron, South Dakota. Our system continues to operate safely. Initial damage assessments have been completed with no material impact to TC Energy owned facilities.

A force majeure has been declared on Keystone, which is operating at a reduced rate due to damage to the third-party power utility. Repairs are being undertaken and we are working to restore full service as soon as possible. A timeline for full-service restoration is not available at this time.

The safety of our people, communities and protection of the environment remains a primary focus and we continue to actively respond. We have informed our customers and key stakeholders and will keep them apprised of updates.

Global climate summary for May 2022
The May global surface temperature was 1.39°F (0.77°C) above the 20th-century average of 58.6°F (14.8°C). This ranks as the ninth-warmest May in the 143-year record, 0.30°F (0.17°C) cooler than the warmest May months (2016 and 2020). It was the coolest May since 2013, but it still marked the 46th consecutive May and the 449th consecutive month with temperatures, at least nominally, above the 20th-century average. The ten warmest May months have all occurred from 2010 to present.

(map) Temperatures in May 2022 compared to the 1981-2010 average. Places that were warmer than average are red; places that were cooler than average are blue. Over the land surface, the largest warm anomaly in May was centered over north-central Asia, and the largest cold anomaly was centered over eastern Europe. (graph) May temperatures compared to the 20th-century average for each year from 1880 to 2022. May has grown warmer by 1.37 degrees Fahrenheit (0.76 degrees Celsius) per century on average over the historical record, but the past three decades have been warming roughly twice as fast. Yup, sea levels haven't changed much near plymouth rock since 1620. lol. Obviously sea level is not out of control or accelerating faster than ever.

The tropical (20N-20S) anomaly for June was -0.36 deg. C, which is the coolest monthly anomaly in over 10 years.

June 2022

The coolest June in 22 years, and the 9th coolest June in the 44 year satellite record.
