New Alert System Today
Ok, it is great that this system is now in place!
But how do we know if it is working, or going to work on our systems?
There is a scheduled test in May, but none scheduled after that.

Worked on my TV last year. Received a text message from my phone provider saying my model of phone has been added to the list and you couldn't opt out - tried their test button and it works. Going to be fun when it goes off and everyone in a store has their phone on.

It worked!!! Today the Alert System sent me an alert. I did not have data on.
Only for tidal waves until they get any bugs out.

I was all ready at 1:55 to hear a special noise and/or receive a text since today was the big day. So far . . . nothing on my phone. Anyone have more luck?

My daughter and I were both in the living room at the time of the schedule alert. She received it, but I did not.

^^ I'm on Koodo and didn't get it. I've not yet seen anything about what happened in BC but in the other provinces today it appears that some received the alert and some didn't. By the way, I have a relatively new iPhone with all the updates etc.
