So is that a bit heavy to carry?

not compared to what cell phones used to be
id rather have a phone with perfect battery reliability rather than the ultra thin obsession that phone manufacturers are going through right now. removing removable batteries and headphone jack for extra space is perfect example of this.

The battery in mine seems to be lasting better in the last couple of days.

Then why are you posting in a thread specifically about iPhones?

In a phone? ... I thought you made an external battery pack for a cell phone. I'm curious, what phone did you manage to cram in 5 Samsung 30F batteries all soldered together?

The battery capacity also decreases over time with use. So what may seem to be using power faster than you remember can also be less capacity battery. 1600mAh at 3.7V is quite small. If you source an AA rechargeable lithium sized battery you’re up around 2000mAH.

Seems to me this is an issue with Google’s Pixel 3...

I've had the same problem numerous times. Phone updates quite often include a million different ways to post messages to Twitter or other social media accounts and these features drain the battery like crazy. One of the latest iPhone updates added a bunch of Twitter and Facebook updates to iMessages which I assume can drain a bunch of battery power even if not used since it's still running and available.

Don't go out and buy a new phone right away, just wait for some updates and you should be fine.

or better. don't buy a new phone.
research the phones available over the last few years and choose the one that has the features you want.
i got an LG V20 because it has a headphone jack and removable battery for my battery mod. it cost 180 dollars
i refuse to pay the stupid prices for these "new phones" since every generation is only slightly better than the previous
