So, just weeks after Telus applied the $10 email snafu credit to my account . . .

. . . they put my rates up again.

Wow. Who could have seen that coming?

I think I going to shop around for a different provider.

I have had nothing but problems with my phone and internet all week.

When I pay a premium price, I expect a premium service. I am not getting that.

I might drop Optik TV.

I tried a cheap hdtv antenna and I can get GlobalBC and GlobalOkanagan perfectly. The news is all I watch on broadcast TV anyway.

It must have been Ghosties and Gremlins in the system.

Had trouble with my security system as well. Everything else seemed fine.

I got a notice about a rate increase, I called them to ask Whisky Tango Foxtrot, and they applied a credit for 2 years to my account to offset the rate increase.

So give them a call, they may do the same.

Telus came out today and replaced my modem. Went from 11 mbs to 65.

I was told that, "the modems have a certain lifespan expectancy".

YES, I have had issues with my phone this week as well, they fixed it, but I don't know how I would have got through to them without a cel phone.

Just go to one of several online tests like any one of these

Fast.com

Speedtest.net

dslreports.com/tools

It's not a bad idea to check once in awhile to see if you are getting what you pay for.

Telus modems seem to be not the most reliable.

They have been slow in my area for a while now, as I'm getting about half of what my plan calls for.

Feels like service providers love to bait and switch.

I just checked the speeds and my download is 29.7 mbps and upload is 29.4 mbps.
No idea if that's good or bad as I'm not a modem geek.
