Is there such a thing as a heated mouse?

Post by Babba_not_Gump »

As in a computer mouse?
Yeah, I know, it's a silly question, but I seem to have poor circulation in my hands and I spend a fair amount of time on my computer. In the winter my right hand, using the mouse, gets damn cold. Combine that with the desk which seems to attract the cold, and life on the computer is uncomfortable at times.
I would be happy spending the entire winter in Mexico with my entire body warm, but obligations at home keep me here most of the winter and keep my hands cold.

So, is there such a thing as a heated mouse?

Maybe wear a thin glove or get a small heater and point it at your hand with the mouse.
One day you will find someone who is obsessed with you.

Fingerless gloves work wonders and can be used in other applications.

My computer & laptop are used while inside my well insulated and warm home, so no need for a heated mouse. lol

I would hope that the gloves would not detract from the mousing experience, and make it more difficult in any way. Maybe a small directed space heater? Maybe a desk lamp with a small Heat radiating bulb, quartz or something. That way your hand is not restricted.

The finger I use for saluting other drivers gets the coldest. If it's not up, then its clenched in a fist trying to stay warm. Either way, my S. O. gets quite upset with me.

This looks interesting: https://www.amazon.ca/Fine-Waterproof-O ... =8-19&th=1

I don't know if I'd nap on it, but to each 'their' own.

Mine were made of cashmere. Having Raynaud's and working as an editor/proofreader and having to keyboard/mouse a lot, they worked so very well:

Guess what Amazon brought today?
I think this is the cats meow.
I put off ordering this until last Thursday, cursing myself because the cold weather was coming fast. And it shows up today, through Amazon Prime, which we don't even have. Puzzling, but I'm not complaining.

Thanks for all the suggestions. :hailjo:
