You guys are brutal. PS3's still have value, heck so do PS2's and the original PS. A quick scan of castanet classifieds showed no PS3's listed for less than $100 with $120 being the average price. Some with games and extra's are listed as high as $250.

I know you want to give him a hard time, but $40 for a PS3 (even without cord and controller) is indeed a good score.

I personally liked the game "Captain Blasto" on the PS1. I wish they'd make a new one.

People can list stuff for whatever amount they wish, but whether they sell it for that price, or at all, is a whole nother kettle of fish.

I thought this was interesting about the PS3...

As of January 2008, each unit costs around $400 to manufacture. Sony lost $3.31B due to pricing its console below production costs. iSuppli’s early analysis showed that Sony loses $306.85 per 20GB hard-drive equipped PS3 sold, not including packaging, controller or cables .... Sony expected to sell 6 million units by the fiscal year ending in March 2007. Only 3.68 million were sold, falling short of that mark.

I guess Sony made it back in game sales or royalties.
