There is already a shift of EV acceptance as more people experience the performance and benefits. The naysayers will always be there, but at some point will either have to get onboard or pay exorbitant amounts to drive their dino-fueled vehicles. Tesla already has 500K kms battery life and that is changing to double. Most people change vehicles before those kms are hit. So with range anxiety diminishing, battery life a non-issue for the majority, and the pressure to shift from fossil fuels, and with pretty much all of the manufacturers being onboard, the future is already mapped. The tech is already astonishing and will only improve more.

And until the technology gets to that point, such as comparable driving range, charge in the same time it takes to fuel a car with no negative effect on the battery life, zero battery degradation over the life of the vehicle, etc., the "naysayers" will remain in the strong majority.

I see the range is 357Km for the Audi e-Tron and 'starts' at $85,600.

Audi is "driving" to a sustainable future. By 2025 they say 1/3 of all their vehicles will be EV. Not sure how auto companies get away with such unrealistic predictions. Truth in advertising probably doesn't apply to the future. I guess 1/3 of the people who buy an Audi have at least $85,000 to spend, let alone Audi even being able to build as many in the first place (which we know won't happen).

What happens to sales when 1/3rd of the vehicles are $85,600 and up?

They don't sell, so the Government has to re-instate incentives.

yea a ebike . my buddy sells kits . i dont own a gas powered car or truck or boat . some the newer ebikes comming out i think are pretty nice .

So the Missus had to drop her Alltrack in for some warranty work at the dealership, they gave her an eGolf for a loaner, the first one only had 45km range, won't do her any good so they asked her if she could hang out for a couple of hours to charge it, right cuz people have nothing else to do in their day

They gave her another one with a "full" charge of 185km. She drove it to and back from work today, total of about 60km and its down to 50km range. She's going back in to the dealership in the morning, if her car isn't ready then she's taking a normal and actual useful car.

EV's are super profitable. After accepting handouts from governments, EV companies are going to realize there are little-to-no profits. Combustible Engine is going nowhere. Sorry tree-huggers.
