Updating AppleID without Iphone or Ipad

AppleTV keeps asking me to update my appleID to access new features, however the only available option is to do it through an Iphone or Ipad, which I don't have. Both their appleid website and customer support were of no help and is a reason why I stay away from Apple, because I don't like being forced to purchase other Apple products simply be able to use a product I already paid for.

With that being said, is there any workaround to update the AppleID on the AppleTV without an Iphone or Ipad? ty

Try appleid.apple.com
I don't know if that will work if all you have is apple tv because it will send a code to your apple device for verification, but worth a try.

Does the Apple TV have a sign in?

From a google search you might try to sign out of your account on the tv and sign back in.

If you don't have an account then you would need to set one up. (I'm wondering if that's your problem)
