Technology things you find annoying!
First one is that I use the free Outlook for my e-mail.
It has started to send me e-mails which are ads to upgrade my outlook which of course they want me to pay for that privilege.
I have no intention of upgrading but these will not go away. You can delete them but the come right back!
Very annoying!
I might even go back to using either my Gmail or Telus e-mail to get rid of them. lol

I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests. I am an old cantankerousness grump that happens to be very opinionated.

I’ve been using my current email service for 20+ years and haven’t had 1 issue.

GordonH, read what my post said?
Outlook has just started sending e-mail ads to everyone using the free outlook to upgrade to a paid version,
So if you are not using Microsoft Outlook you won't get/see these ads.
I can delete the ad but it comes right back and will not go away! That's the annoying part.

A couple of things if you haven't already done them.
- Scroll to the bottom of the email and see if there's a link to click on to 'unsubscribe', I do this all the time with pretty good results
- If available, label the email as Spam so it goes straight to the Spam box.
That's all I got.

You can't label it as spam as it's not technically an e-mail. When you open it you go directly to their website trying to sell office 365.YzzzR1 wrote: ↑Dec 12th, 2022, 10:42 am A couple of things if you haven't already done them.

Exactly and if they sent me an ad maybe once a month I would be OK with that.
But not the way they are doing it now.

I actually have access to MS 365 through a non profit I am on the board of so don't really want to pay for something I already have. I will have to look at it and see if I can join the 2 accounts into one so the ads go away.Urban Cowboy wrote: ↑Dec 12th, 2022, 2:04 pm

I am quite happy with Libreoffice and have been using it for many years so most of my files are with that.
I started using Outlook when Windows 10 insisted on an MS account to install it but the ad is starting to bug me.

Something to think about, is your free "Outlook" email program actually from Microsoft. There are many 3rd party websites that will offer free Microsoft programs or that cost a lot less money than Microsoft. These are not supported by Microsoft. I didn't think Microsoft gave anything for free!

It's definitely MS outlook which is why I'm getting the stupid ads everyday.pogo1 wrote: ↑Dec 12th, 2022, 3:33 pm Something to think about, is your free "Outlook" email program actually from Microsoft. Yes, you said it was Microsoft Outlook, but did you get it (download or ?) from Microsoft or another company off the Internet.
