Netflix issues
We've had netflix for quite a while now and use it as our main entertainment source.
Lately we are repeatedly being told "Login Error." And can't get in.
Netflix Tech support tells us to call Telus.
Telus tells us to call Netflix.
Just got off the phone with Telus and all our wiring for our internet and Smarttv is correct. It's not the wires.
Regardless of how many times we change the password, we can't get in. We do not share our password with anyone.
I just tried to login again with "Login Error" yet again.
Is anyone else out there experiencing this or has in the past and how did you solve it?

Regardless of who "wins" an election, they always are up against a Silent Elite. Do you believe the extreme poor who voted for Trump ever thought their non-profit support would be slashed right out from under them?
Re: Netflix issues
That's something my mother-in-law is having but only with her Apple TV ... her ipad and her Samsung Smart TV are functioning fine ... and same with her, Netflix tech support could not resolve it ... will let you know if I can get over there and debug it

Re: Netflix issues
What brand of SmartTV do you have? How old is your SmartTV? Does it have an option to update the Netflix App? Is the TV app you're using, or is it a service through Telus? I have Netflix, and I've been using it with a PS4, now PS5. No network issues in the last few years.Queen K wrote: ↑Feb 27th, 2023, 5:55 pm We've had netflix for quite a while now and use it as our main entertainment source.

Netflix has been recently hacked within the last year. Usernames and passwords have been compromised and have popped on the dark web. A year back someone in Saudi was using my account. Changing passwords is good. Although, that is not necessarily the problem.

Re: Netflix issues
I’m on optik tv and have Netflix with zero issues, I don’t think the age of your tv matters or whether or not it’s a smart TV. It’s all run through the Telus tv box and just feeds the video/audio to the tv. When I choose to watch Netflix or Amazon prime it’s only a matter of pressing the ok button, I don’t enter a login/password each time. So an issue with your settings? Is your Netflix account now through Telus or do you pay separately? Mine is through Telus for the discount.

Re: Netflix issues
Have you tried logging in on your phone or tablet to rule out the tv/telus box?

Re: Netflix issues
I had the same kind of issues a while back. My Netflix kept buffering constantly and often wouldn't let me log in. It was super annoying, especially when I was ready to watch a movie and relax. I tried fixing it many times, changing my password and stuff, but it kept happening.
So, I looked for a different way to watch shows and movies. That's when I found out about IPTV Kopen. It's been a perfect move for me. It costs 15 euros, which isn't too bad, and it gives me access to over 7,000 channels and many movies – we're talking about 30,000 of them, in HD and even in 4K quality. The coolest part is that I can watch all this on my smart TV, which is super handy.

Re: Netflix issues
Not sure how many, but I believe Netflix has a limit on the number of devices being logged in simultaneously. It's also location sensitive.
Could that be a problem?

Re: Netflix issues
This is going to sound stupid, I know, but it happened to me twice.
I'm sure it's brand particular, my TV is a large Sony smart TV.
I tried to go on to Amazon Prime. I forget all the particular messages but basically, "I had a wifi signal, but no internet signal in the wifi signal". I checked my system and I was putting out wifi with an internet signal.
Strange.
I Goggled it. Among all the fixes suggested, there was one crazy fix. "Make sure the date function on your Sony was set to 'automatic update' ".
It always had been but recently there was a software update. So I checked. Yes the automatic update had reverted to manual. I clicked automatic date update. It fixed everything.
What the date has to do with my TV detecting an internet signal for one particular service (Netflix still had been working), I have no idea.
Google is sometimes a good source for fixes, although some may seem crazy.
