Make it so #1. I'd rather live 1km from a nuclear plant than 1km from turbines and fields of solar panels.

Fukushima was a freak accident caused by an earthquake. Canada does not have such earthquakes.

Canada can provide a safe and feasible location to support nuclear power plants.

Fukushima was a freak accident caused by an earthquake, followed by a Tsunami, followed by a flood inside the reactor with the diesel backup generator situated below sea level. It is safe. No one died as a direct result of radiation.

impo nuclear power is the next logical direction for both BC Hydro & Fortis to go in, since there probably isn’t any more rivers in BC to dam.

BC alone has 5 major fault lines and could have an earthquake at any time.

That's true and that makes BC a poor choice for a location but, there is the rest of canada that is in desperate need of cheap electric power.

France is funding 6, plus plans for 8 more nuclear plants. France is telling Europe to throw weight behind nuclear. France has the cleanest and cheapest electricity.

I thought Norway , 95% hydro, was the cheapest and France not far behind them.
Most expensive Denmark...windy power.

You’re right, Norway has cheaper power using mostly hydro. Hydro is great where you can do it.
