Montreal Protocol based on a lie?
In climate change we have the 1.5C global limit that was pulled from a hat and we were told it should never be exceeded. The Montreal Protocol of 1979 has a similar value of 220 Dobson Units which measures columns of ozone above the south pole. Anything under 220 DU is considered a hole.
The ozone hole is considered to have 'begun' in 1979, which is the year DuPonts patent for Freon expired. Previous to 1979 there were ozone holes, although not as pronounced. Today we see a very large ozone hole after claiming we had already conquered the problem.
In 1974, the Chair of the Board of DuPont was quoted as saying that "ozone depletion theory is a science fiction tale … a load of rubbish … utter nonsense"

In 1980, DuPont had changed their tune perhaps thinking a Freon replacement would be more lucrative.

In the end, does it appear that ozone levels correlate better with surface temperature phase change data rather than CFC data?

I've always wondered about the ozone hole in the south pole... natural or man-made. As time goes on and the hole gets larger while CFC products are regulated and banned, something else is going on and the problem could very well not be CFCs in the first place.

NASA says the ozone never dropped below 220 DU until 1979. They are either lying or just don't know.
Using the best coolants is in our best interest.
