I don't think Betelgeuse went supernova, yet. However, it might happen tomorrow, or in a million of years.

Light coming from this massive Red giant take roughly 700 years to reach Earth.

I'm pretty sure JT's looney left are about taxing NOW, no matter what, and ask questions later, even if it takes 1,400 years. I just hope Betelgeuse doesn't give them an idea. Perhaps, we should shush. :-X

Yup, it is all about saving future generations by wiping out everyone today. Unknown to Justin, if the future is warmer, everyone will be much better off.
