Castanet ad content

Post by mpusch88 »

Has anyone else noticed that Castanet seems to be taking payments to run advertisements as news stories? It also seems like the frequency of this happening has been increasing.

It will be hilarious if they lose their inexplicable monopoly over the Okanagan because they decide they want to maximize profits.

Yes, it's called "Sponsored Content" and it's marked as such.

Also, every other news outlet is doing the same thing.

I guess my confusion was caused by the fact that there is no indication of sponsored content when viewing stories via RSS.
