Tech Score of the Day
I was surfing through FB Marketplace a couple of weeks ago and ran across a Brother colour printer for sale.
The price was pretty cheap ($75) so I checked it out and found it needed some repairs.
I did chat back and forth with the seller but left it as I would think about it.
I was thinking of offering him $25 when I got a msg from him asking me I I wanted it for free. Nobody was willing to buy it not working and he didn't want to just recycle it.
I said sure and picked it up on Tues.
Well a bit of Weld Bond on the broken piece and a bit of Duct tape and it's working like a Hot Damn!
I have myself a multi use Copier/Scanner/Printer!

Nice score!
I've fallen in love with JB Weld's 5 minute epoxy (very similar to Weld Bond I believe) over the last 5 years or so. It's super impressive for repairing broken plastic parts. Most recently I used it to fix the ice dispenser in our fridge. Will always keep some around from now on.
