Looks like all the W Kootenay votes are coming in now. Canning pulling away with the help of the left wing W Kootenays.
Just like last time.

Conservatives win popular vote. Leftists go crazy that Conservatives don't form government. Ok yes I am doubling over with laughter.

What a mess is all I can say. The disconnect between Ottawa and Western Canada is about to get a hell of a lot worse.

No surprises that Tracy Gray got in. Kelowna-Lake Country is back to blue. I figure the only reason Stephen Fuhr was ever elected in the first place was because Ron Cannan was so useless.

The Conservatives just won Kootenay-Columbia. Interesting riding, because you have the left wing hippie types in Nelson mixed with the right wing East Kootenay.

Rather what was expected and the NDP know they will likely be the tail wagging the dog just like we have in BC with the Greens.

It will be interesting what comes next. NDP have technically lost a lot but are in a position to gain a lot in the backroom deals, but as others have guessed it likely won't be a 4 year deal no matter who makes the deals. IN reality to represent the majority of Canadians the Liberals should be talking with the conservatives to work together for the best of the population yet we know they won't, they will go with the benefit of the liberals and spending which benefits them the best.

I have said before and I will reiterate, Wayne Stetski (NDP) is not an honorable man.
I figure most of his votes came from the druggie, communist, draft dodging hippies of the Nelson area.
Very glad he lost.

I'd be fine with the outcome of this election if the liberals and ndp don't form a coalition. A minority, either liberal or conservative was the best outcome, and a coalition the absolute worst.

Are the people using this hashtag thinking that he is dead? Sorry, no Scheer is alive and well!

SNC Lavalin shares surging today. Of course they are. Canadians voted to let those people get away with murder.

Interesting but predictable result. Sweeping the West does not get you elected. I do know that, based on previous elections, and precedent, that by voting a member of the opposition in and a member of the government out, the Kelowna Lake Country riding only succeeded in drying up the Federal Funds and attention that we have enjoyed for the past 4 years. But hey we showed those evil Liberals though! That will teach them! Just saying  [icon_lol2.gif]

It's so easy to take shots after the fact. The advance polling was bang on and had the election as being too close to call. Had central/eastern Canada voted slightly differently we'd be very happy having a Conservative MP serving under PM Scheer.

And since when do people in BC care about federal funds? When we voted down the HST we had to pay back billions to the feds. Everyone seemed content to "send a message" to the provincial Liberals back then.
