They should be asking for a meridian down the centre of the highway before anything else.

concrete barrier to impeded traffic from crossing into the oncoming lane. the strip along duck lake north of the Kelowna airport has been VERY effective ..

I think the term you're looking for is highway "median".

An imaginary circle or closed curve on the surface of a sphere or globe-shaped body that lies in a plane passing through the poles. This will fix their little red wagon ;-)

Sgt Dolan, Are you vision impaired? Speeding, tailgating and aggressive driving is rampant at rush hour, many residents don’t call in anymore because it’s a waste of time.

The obvious solution is a bypass. The citizens of Peachland don't want the traffic through town and the people who are heading south don't want to crawl through town on a single lane highway.
Too bad our NDP government keeps telling us that the highway won't reach capacity until 2040. Is their definition of capacity a scenario where you get on the highway and never return home due to being forever stuck in the gridlock?
Build a bypass and give everyone what they need.

This. Build a bypass for every town and city, including Kelowna.RED09GT wrote: ↑Nov 28th, 2024, 7:52 am The obvious solution is a bypass. The citizens of Peachland don't want the traffic through town and the people who are heading south don't want to crawl through town on a single lane highway.

As a commuter Monday to Friday Westbank to Penticton I see and feel slower speeds will create frustration and road rage and more tailgating by pushy drivers to go faster, you lower the speed the people will push the envelope, the slide area people speed through up to 90-100 kmh sometimes through the work zone. You see a lot when you commute, history shows people will speed no matter the speed by at least 10 percent over. Make a bypass away from the small communities like on Vancouver Island for the people that just want to commute but get irritated when your slowed down. Driving everyday creates a comfort zone or better yet become complacent with the road.

That was my thought to. It goes up to 90 once you pass through the light at Princeton so maybe that's what they're talking about.A10ThunderboltII wrote: ↑Nov 28th, 2024, 8:06 am ..and isn't the posted speed through PeachLand already 70Kmh ?
