It is awesome to see this happening in our schools now. There is very little gender barrier for so many trades now with technology as well as new tools and equipment. I have a son that chose the trade route and is now red seal with 10 yrs experience and a bit of extra training (paid for by employer) and has become a specialist in his field. A Family Practice Doctor would like to get his paycheques.

Yes, there are great opportunities in the trades, for both female and male. In my 35 years in the oil and gas, many of those in NE BC, including my self, I met people starting out in the trades, making the todays equivalent of $200K to $400K per year.twobits wrote: ↑Nov 30th, 2024, 1:52 pm It is awesome to see this happening in our schools now. This is with hard and smart work, do some extra courses & schooling, then recognizing opportunities in their field and take a bit of risk to dive into those chances for advancement.
