Of course more taxes and many seniors can’t afford to live here anymore

6% increase; you guys have to be joking! What about the promise that increased development (it's here) will lower taxes!

The sign is fine. Spend the money on more important things.

Peachland not historic? What about all the historic mines in the area? Alena, come to my office sometime. I have pins on a big map fir every one. How about Princeton Avenue? That how all the materials for the mines in Princeton got there! How about all the historic pack trails in the area? They will be easy to map as soon as the Province does the Lidar scan of the area. Not historic? Give your head a shake.

This statement is an insult to those who built Peachland. Time for mayor and council, especially Alanna, to head down to the library and familiarize themselves with the history of Peachland.

Educate yourself before making false statements about the successes and achievements of Peachland's pioneers. They were celebrated in 2009, our Centennial year.

I live in Kelowna and drive to Peachland every week to enjoy a social time with my art group. It gives me great joy to see the historic PEACHLAND WELCOME SIGN as I'm driving down Drought Hill. The very things that I love most about Peachland are the people and the history. There is so much history! To say that Peachland is not historic is and insult to the community. I grew up in Kelowna and have watched how the historic buildings and signs have slowly dissappeared. Heritage buildings being demolished to make way for 40 floor towers, beautiful heritage homes along Abbott Street being replaced by monster houses. Don't let that happen to Peachland! Maybe this uniformed counsellor should have conversations with people in the community that have lived in Peachland all their lives and have a wealth of information and stories about the history of Peachland. The PEACHLAND WELCOME SIGN just needs a fresh coat of paint!!!!!
