They should name the driver and the company. Why is that information being withheld? They just about killed someone due to careless operation of a commercial vehicle. They deserve to be publicly shamed at the very least.

Criminal negligence for the driver and the shop that inspected it. Throw the book at them then deport them. Man up BC!

This type of accident should be eligible for civil claims. If the driver/transport company are not going to face any type of meaningful punishment, the victim should be able to sue both of them back into the dark ages.
Wipe them out civilly, and force the driver/company to liquidate their assets to pay the claim when they whine about not having any $$$

The government is protecting these truck drivers
The police don’t even pull them over for speeding, cellphones up to their ears
Unsafe trucks, one foot up on the dash
Should be arrested and their drivers license taken away
