This government should not be allowed to continue to do this until there is transparency in where tax dollars have gone in their prior slush funds. They've proven time and time again that they are incapable of properly managing funds and vetting companies that apply for the money. Disgusting.

More feel good spin from the classic spinners. Big announcements worked out on the back of an envelope., no plan for implementation or monitoring. Just like the infamous $250 handout.

Your government is funding projects that will inevitably cost Canadians their jobs and bring themselves greater control in the process.

Why are feds using our money to buy bigger, faster, more expensive computers for businesses and researchers? Just how far will feds go to buy votes?
Once feds cronies and cohorts hand pick who gets the money, how much after administration costs are paid, do companies actually get?
Feds, along with CIRA (Canadian Internet Registry Authority - a self appointed overseer of Internet in Canada), CRTC and CBC, Rogers and Bell Canada have their say, even more of the Internet will be controlled by a few special interest government 'authority'.
How does that saying go? Something like 'Knowledge is power' and “Power tends to corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely”.Lord Acton to Bishop Creighton (1887)

The Government investing in modern tech to stay relevant is the same as it ever was, what has changed is the percentage of the citizenry now knows just enough to wrong.
