Good! That's 400 potential new jobs for natural born citizens of Canada. Having to repeat oneself 3 times at Tim Hortons is annoying *bleep*. Dealing with "Foreign students" that are fully grown working in fast food, restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores is eye rolling. Learn how to count Canadian currency and be fluent in English.

Great News!!! Hoping for larger cuts when Trudeau is GONE!!! The time of temporary Students turning into full-time non-citizens is OVER!!! Canada needs to form its own ICE department and start to remove people that should not be here by force.

How does a institution slash 40 million in a year? Sounds like TRU will be visiting municipal provincial and federal government with hat in hand when they fail to come close to the target. Get ready taxpayers to foot the bill for their failure.

By cutting course offerings and corresponding staff for a start.
When institutions and government offices have access to a ton of money, they tend to hire and swell the staff to a point it becomes unsustainable when a change in funding occurs.
Universities are one, and with changes in government coming, government offices will be next I suspect.

Agent commissions for its international students are expected to decrease by a minimum of $1.5 million
So TRU has been paying agents to recruit students? This is shady as hell.

And the best part of this cost cutting,
"The university’s portion of a $10 million pedestrian bridge split between TRU and the City of Kamloops has been deferred to future years."
Kamloops taxpayers thank you.
