Or it could be when people realize they're paying 25% tax buying it from a government sanctioned store as opposed to any of them on Indian land, the smart people are just going to buy it from the Indian Land stores.
25% tax. Really government. Over taxation is losing you money.
I'm pretty sure the first government store I went to said it was 25% tax. I could be wrong on that figure or maybe it's changed but I'm not going to give the government any more money than they already steal from me

Most of the Res shops buy from MOM's and that's where the real deals are. My spot hasn't raised their prices in 2 years but are still overpriced, I only go there on sale days. I don't know a single person who buys from the liquor board.

Kamloops would thrive in sales if they started to sell fentanyl & fentanyl accessories.

This is just the natural business cycle. We had the initial boom and business kept increasing. Eventually you get to an oversupply and that needs to come back down to its natural equilibrium. Add in the inflationary pressures that reduce some demand too. There's so many cannabis stores it's rediculous, some will inevitably close. Same with producers, they thought they'd sell all over the world, particularly the USA. That demand never planned out and many went under.

Maybe, but this is a stretch. Could it be that people have figured out instead of spending money on dope they are buying food? Or paying rent? Or just focusing on raising a family and going to work?

Re sanctioned stores. Was wondering about that. Pretty fancy, some of these stores! Does the government subsidize their rent? Or, we as tax payers?

Not a stretch. I think you're !00%. I don't smoke weed, but people have other sources. Hydroponics alive and well. People that buy from these stores just too lazy to grow their own.

That's what happens when our government is selling their floor sweep pre-rolls at ridiculous prices.

the legal stores are empty , never see people there or cars parked in front.
not a great business idea, thank you Trudeau
the illegal stores are doing well, law abiding people have no problem going there.

Really untrue here, and back anecdote (parking lot what you see is not good evidence). I know some private business owners they're doing good, legalization has been great for business owners who got into it. Like I said a bit oversaturated.

Nailed it.

The NDP Liberals have made life so unaffordable that the potheads can't even afford a hoot these days.
