Fully 30% of the elected representatives in the US congress believe that Climate Change, Global Warming , is a hoax including Trump I wonder if this even equates with them. Fortunately no such disparity exist in Canada other than a,'small fringe minority'

One fire doesn't equal "cLiMaTe cHaNge".

Also, how do you know this wasn't arson? How do you know this wasn't from a downed powerline? Trees don't spontaneously combust, and with poor forest management practices, you get big fires like this.

Forest fires are a natural part of the life cycle of forests. When you do everything you can to constantly prevent them, you get a buildup of fuel, which results in big fires. I know they make for great propaganda but reality is a little different from your narrative.

If a forest hasn't burned or been logged for decades and a town expands where it's growing circumference creates many more kilometres of "interface" housing, one does not need to slap "climate change" on it to be politically stylish. Urban forest mismanagement is more appropriate, but less sexy or dramatic.

There are 8 billion people on this rock. We passed sustainability about 3 billion people ago. But there is no politically fashionable proposals or profit potential to deal with that elephant in everyone's bedroom.

Climate change is real. It has been happening for over 4 billion years, not just 30 or 50 or 100. Humans wouldn't be here it hadn't. And nature couldn't give a hydro dam about the prevailing connotation of "climate change".

Relax. Humans have come. Humans will go. The world will carry on just fine. And we, as Canadians contributing 1.4% to total global carbon (compared to China at 34%, USA at 13% and India at 7%) have little to contribute in our pious pursuit of eco-Zen evangelized by the Ottawa and provincial political demigods.

Trump continually says he doesn't "need" Canada, that we are nothing but a drain to the USA- economically, militarily, etc.
I wonder how Californians feel about all of the help that Canadian firefighters are providing?
Maybe they don't need that, either?

Trump doesn't give a toss about California, as it's full of blue voting democrats.
Thank God that most of the citizens of the USA don't have the same opinions of Canadians that Trump has, and that when our neighbours (note the u in neighboUrs) need help, we come without being asked.
