All our governments are in spin mode where everything is rosy. Yes it is, if you are a politician and get your salary month after month without disruption and not having to worry about housing and food and a job.

So by my math, 4,300 people were hired in the private sector to pay for 9,800 more swivel serpents in the public sector.

Is this supposed to be sustainable?
Diana Gibson, Minister of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation said there were 14,100 jobs added in December and was positive given slow global economic growth and the threat of proposed U.S. tariffs being felt across Canada.

“Our province continues to show strength with a gain of 4,300 private-sector jobs last month, building on additional private-sector job gains over the past few months. Our unemployment rate continues to be one of the lowest in the country (third at 6.0 per cent), and below the national average of 6.7 per cent," Gibson said in a statement.

Remember the politicians were bragging last fall about the decline in unemployed? Hint:
Students + retail + retail support hire for the Christmas Season.
Then, when students are looking at going back to school; Retail + retail support - students = off Christmas Season support staff.

Govt will pat itself on the back soon during Spring break.

Just what we’ve always needed - more government employees- to do the same work that’s always been there. What a waste of taxpayers money - the majority of government employees couldn’t make it in the private sector - they’d actually have to work….
