Thieves smash Kelowna gem store to steal rare amethyst

The problem is, people won't want to pay the taxes that would be required to have facilities for the addicted and mentally incompetent people who fill our streets and take as they please.

So which is it? Pay more taxes and send these people into facilities? Throw them into jail for twice as long and end up needing more jails, meaning more taxes? What actually is the solution? The planet is exploding with people. The only solution I see is getting these people out of our society but it requires alot of money.

So sad to see this happen!
So many enjoy this shop and the owners that run it are so kind and helpful to their customers.
How can any business survive these days. So many break ins that are happening constantly.
We’re losing so many great stores bc people can’t afford the loses, as well the rent and insurance cost are outrageous now.
These guys that did this do not look to me as homeless,, the clothes on their backs & vehicle.
Of course the vehicle could be stolen..
Hope they are caught asap!!!!
And the precious amethyst returned.
